The organisers of the Goodwood Festival of Speed have issued the second video instalment of stunt rider Dougie Lampkin's acrobatics around Goodwood. Watch the 12-time World Trials Bike Champion riding around on location at the Festival of Speed, as well as around Goodwood circuit and the airfield. Lampkin shows off his prowess on two wheels, as he roars through Goodwood House and runs amok on the 12,500-acre Goodwood Estate.
Honda inaugurated its new Advanced Design Studio in Los Angeles last week, coinciding with the LA auto show's first press day. It's the third design studio for the Japanese manufacturer in the region and is poised to lead the development of Honda's advanced automobile design activity. The new studio is located in the heart of Downtown LA, which has been experiencing a resurgence in the past decade.
General Motors and NASA have teamed up to develop Robonaut 2, which will be the first humanlike robot to take up permanent residence on the International Space Station. Known as R2, the 300-pound robot will use its “hands” and “arms” to utilize the tools of the station. It will assist astronauts, which GM says has parallels with helping its workers in factories.
